Scholastica Asahchop is a Clinical Social Worker / Therapist with over 16 years of experience. Her experience has focused on child welfare and mental health. She provides counselling to individuals, couples, families, and groups. She utilizes both long-term and brief interventions approach in order to meet the unique needs of her clients. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McGill University in 2004 and a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2008. Scholastica also completed a school of Discipleship program with a diploma in 2015.
Scholastica provides counselling to those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and loss, anger Management, behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, parenting issues. She also sees those struggling with adoption, marital challenges, workplace stress, abuse, grief and loss, racial trauma, trans-racial parenting issues, life and career transitions, family Conflict, separation / divorce, custody and access matters and blended family dynamics etc.
Scholastica provides a warm, safe, and a nonjudgmental environment for her clients. She is interested in the holistic approach and utilizes creativity and flexibility to formulate treatment goals which suit the diverse and unique needs of clients.
